Sport as a Tool for Environmental Sustainability Learning

The general objective is to improve the incorporation of sustainability as a cross-cutting element in youth organizations.

MAIN OBJECTIVES

S.T.E.L.L.A is a KA2 project funded by Erasmus + Programme of European Union.

The main objectives of this project is the environment and the fight against climate change. Promoting active citizenship, young people’s sense of initiative and youth entrepreneurship including social entrepreneurship common values, civic engagement and participation.

S.T.E.L.L.A is a project coordinated by Associazione TDM 2000 (Italy) and partners SYAJ - Associacao Juvenil Synergia (Portugal), EKO Greece-Entrepreneurship and Social Economy Group (Greece), Active Zone Outdoor (Cyprus), TDM 2000 Malta (Malta). This partnership came together to promote sustainable ways through sports activities.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

To enhance education and awareness of young people on their environmental footprint and promote ethical behaviors and codes of conduct among them through sporting tools

To provide youth workers, youth leaders, facilitators and trainers with practical sport-related non formal education tools that can be useful to promote environmental sustainability awareness among youth.

To animate the discussion on the potential of young people to be agent of change in environmental sustainability for their societies.

To share existing best practices, projects and actions on how to use sport as a tool to inspire education on environmental sustainability among young people

To promote youth work at European level to facilitate the creation of young people and youth workers, as well as other stakeholders, passionate and motivated to use sport as a tool for change.
